This Gitane city racer is great for putting in some miles while enjoying the vintage style. It is equipped with a 5-speed Simpex gear-group and an original wheelset. All mechanical gear parts are original and in great condition. A lightweight, super fast, piece of history. Note: The frame has some spots, all of which have been treated by a coating to ensure its ready for the future. 

About the brand:

Gitane bikes have been produced since the 1930s. It has become famous as a French racing brand in the 1960s up until the mid 80s. Gitane sponsored some great riders including Jacques Anquetil, Joop Zoetemelk and Bernard Hinault.
